I don't know what to make of the news that there may be a ceasefire for #Ukraine. I hope it's true for the sake of the Ukrainian people, but there are so many liars and bad actors involved (MBS, Putin, Trump), who are all motivated to mislead us, that it feels like a roll of the dice.
I hope I'm being paranoid, it's welcome and surprising news. 10 years ago this would be clear cause for celebration instead of anxiety. :(
I wouldn't trust trump one bit. he is too close to putin, and he is a serial liar.
@Captain_Jack_Sparrow I share your fear, but I'm still going to cling onto the hope that the bombs might stop falling in Ukraine under terms other than betrayal by an ally and victory to Putin. Or an escalation of the war where more people die.
But there's a difference between anxious hope or anticipation and naivety.
