Auschwitz Memorial

Eighty years ago today, over 7,000 prisoners of the German Nazi camp , including some 700 children, were liberated by the soldiers of the Soviet Army.

1,689 days of murder, pain, suffering, and humiliation were over.
Today, we all remember. We must keep remembering.

@auschwitzmuseum This saddens me greatly, despite this Inquisition (Holocaust) having happened, our humanity and certain governments continue in the art of committing atrocities and crimes such as wars, so many macabre things already behind us and this humanity continues in a vice of killing its neighbor, if just looking at the recent numbers worldwide, it's horrible, that's why I cry inside myself, when I see these photos of you, humans whose lives were interrupted by mediocre people and governments, sometimes our greatest enemies, when this humanity day comes to be human again?

@auschwitzmuseum As a reminder, the Holocaust began with mass deportation.

@auschwitzmuseum I'm afraid liberating Auschwitz never was a war goal. It was "discoreved" and these people survived not because they were liberated but because the nazis were defeated, as we all know that genocide was top priority until the very end. This catastrophe was hardly ever mentioned in the allied leaflets. It just wasn't something people cared about. The Allies ultimately "won" the war but as far as genocide and mass killings are concerned, it was a huge victory for the Nazis.

@auschwitzmuseum And here we are today, with history repeating itself in eerily accurate ways

@auschwitzmuseum
Buradan kurtulanların çocuklarının şu an yaptığı soykırımı da unutmayalım. Hala devam ediyor.
Şimdiye kadar 50.000 kişi öldürdüler.

Ayrıca nazi selamı veren adamın peşinden gidiyorlar. Sosyalistlerin değil.

@auschwitzmuseum sheesh, hard times and seems so possible again (or is happening again)

@auschwitzmuseum
And we've circled back to the beginning again.
