16 February 1926 | A German Jewish girl Margot Frank, Anna's older sister, was born in Frankfurt. She and her family went into hiding in Amsterdam. After being arrested they were deported with their parents to #Auschwitz. The sisters perished in Bergen-Belsen.

@auschwitzmuseum very moving and a reminder we must not tolerate genocide or ethnic cleansing. Sadly it’s happening again in Gaza. Tens of thousands of innocent civilians and children murdered, land grabbing through relocation being suggested by fascist governments. We never learn.

@ErikvanStraten there’s nothing humanitarian about slaughtering 40,000+ innocent civilians and destroying their homes. There was only ever one intent - to eradicate Palestinians in Gaza and grab the land for Israel. What #hamas did was wrong. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

I agree that what Hamas did was wrong, but I'm understanding them more every day.
The Palestinians have been humiliated since 1948. UN-resolutions widely agreed upon have been violated without any consequences for Israel.
Contrary to what western governments make us believe, the "war" did not start on Oct. 7, 2023.

I feel guilty myself for believing that Palestinians were terrorists - until I started reading about the history of Israel and Palestine following the Oct. 7 attack.
If Hamas-members are terrorists, then what are (and were, before the outbreak) the Israeli Destruction Forces?
@ErikvanStraten it’s clear to anyone with an ounce of humanity that Israel is a cruel bully today.
