@jeffowski As someone pointed out recently, the purpose of affirmative action policies was not (as right-wingers keep insisting) to promote lesser qualified members of visible minorities at the expense of better qualified whites, but to ensure that lesser qualified whites weren't being promoted at the expense of better qualified members of visible minorities. It's certainly interesting how right-wingers like to turn things around to suit their own interests, and even more interesting that so many people are willing to go along with this crap.

That kind of hurts you know. I know I have benefited from privilege, although I've never gotten anywhere as a result of those benefits. How much of that can be attributed to my autism? I don't know. But this meme kind of tells me I'm worthless just because I haven't succeeded despite my privilege.
