@jeffowski A Real ID driver's license should be sufficient. To obtain a Real ID one must produce a passport, or depending on circumstances, a birth certiicate, marriage and divorce certificates or other documents proving ID. Why would we be forced to submit the same documents again in order to vote?
BTW, four House Democrats voted for the Save Act. Primary them.

If there is some irregularity with your birth certificate, as is common with people who were adopted, you can kiss the passport goodbye.

@rustbuckett @jeffowski Not necessarily. Some states allow you to change your birth certificate if you transition, so your BC could match what your license says.

@jeffowski I'm formally changing my name (my hearing is on Wednesday!) and I'm getting my birth certificate amended because the wonderful court clerk I'm working with STRONGLY suggested it. You cannot get a passport otherwise.

@jeffowski Why the fuck is the personal ID issued by the government not enough? What kind of monumental stupidity is this? Or just very well thought out intentional thing to supress votes. Yup, that's more likely.
@jeffowski I suppose the one saving grace is that the more worldly of the American voters are the ones that have passports. I would imagine that could backfire on the Billy Bob MAGA folks that have never ventured outside their trailer park.
