@ruud Here’s the thing; Google results are probably quite personalised for you, and therefore quite accurate for your needs. But you are trapped in a search bubble.

Startpage will show you the results from Google, but they will not be personalised for you. So they may appear slightly worse.

It’s a good place to start (no pun intended). Giving your searches to anyone other than Google is a great step to quell their monopoly.
