@Techmeme people who talk about an “iPhone moment” completely forget that when the iPhone was released in 2007 it was largely panned for lack of key features, poor battery life, no 3G, no App Store, high price and carrier exclusivity. It wasn’t until the 3GS that the tectonic plates in the industry really began to shift.
