We installed a new AC unit outside our house. They put the old unit one foot outside our primary bedroom and it was like having a jet engine outside. And the shutdown noise was beyond that. Just ridiculous. This was done on Wednesday, I cleared away the grass and mulched it to keep the landscapers from damaging the unit, hoses, and cables with weed wackers. It's really quiet as the noisy fan faces away from the house. 95% noise-free inside now.
