FoxiMax<p>In The Before Times I used Apache Ant quite a bit, and as a result over the years I chipped in on <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/StackOverflow" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>StackOverflow</span></a> so much that I became top scorer of the Ant topic tag <a href="https://stackoverflow.com/tags/ant/topusers" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">stackoverflow.com/tags/ant/top</span><span class="invisible">users</span></a> </p><p>My colleague Barry calls me &quot;Ant-Man...&quot;</p><p>Happy to try to assist if you have any Ant problems or tasks. Post on StackOverflow, or ping me here.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/ApacheAnt" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>ApacheAnt</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/BuildTools" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BuildTools</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/developers" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>developers</span></a></p>
Cecelia<p>I find myself back on my 12" <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/PowerBook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PowerBook</span></a> running <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/MacOSX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MacOSX</span></a> 10.5.8 Leopard. I’m inspired once again to compile the code for a nearly 20 year old Java 2 Mobile Edition MIDlet after having found a long standing bug and fixed it during the early pandemic.</p><p>Having found an old bookmark in my browser, I’ve looked up the Sun Java site in <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/InternetArchive" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>InternetArchive</span></a> and now have a working toolchain.</p><p>But apparently, this code is filled with MORE bugs? How the heck did I even get this to compile in the first place‽</p><p>Who needs sleep when there’s a fix needed for obsolete software? 🙃</p><p><a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/PowerBookG4" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PowerBookG4</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/Java" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Java</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/J2ME" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>J2ME</span></a> <a href="https://tech.lgbt/tags/ApacheAnt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ApacheAnt</span></a></p>
Scottish Lass<p>Wow, completely forgot I used to use <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/ApacheAnt" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ApacheAnt</span></a> for organising files and podcast production. Could be doing with those now. Back in my <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Java" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Java</span></a> days I suspect. <a href="https://ant.apache.org/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">ant.apache.org/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a><br>Just different versions of the kinds of things done in <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Make" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Make</span></a> files building stuff using the likes of C/C++. The joys of the amount of hours saved by automation when you had a well crafted Makefile ⌛ <br><a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Make_(software)" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Make_(so</span><span class="invisible">ftware)</span></a><br>Seriously think I've forgotten more than I'll ever remember.🧠</p>
