Nice. Apple Classical finally got a proper iPad version. #apple #iPadOS #iPad #classicalmusic #AppleClassical #AppleMusic #music
Interesting. I added Gunther Schuller’s ‘Concerto da Camera’ to a playlist in the Apple Classical app. Later I reopened the app and attempted to reorder the playlist and I got this error message.
I’m guessing that Apple has split their music catalog into “Classical” and “Non-Classical” sections. I don’t want to complain too much because I listen to the app all the time and generally like it.
Apologize in advance if a little off-topic.
I’m really enjoying #appleclassical, but I wish there was a “No Opera” button. I can’t help it; I’ve tried so hard, but I just do not like opera.
I’m enjoying this tremendously. #AppleClassical is great for finding all sorts of versions of famous works.
Anything conducted by the Maestro #ClaudioAbbado is usually special though!! #Beethoven #ClassicalMusic #HomePod #Apple
i'm hoping that the detail that went to #AppleClassical goes into the #AppleMusic app, that would probably get me to return, just maybe… #Roon metadata is spoiling me.
Hey @dklein schon mal dein #Apple #AirPodsMax getestet mit #appleclassical?

Great take from @mcelhearn, someone who's been writing about Apple, photography, and classical music for a very long time...

@vromans @classicalmusic Thanks for the tip I found it on #AppleClassical so am listening now
Went to see the Sydney Symphony Orchestra perform Mahler a few years back and was blown away by the Ross Edwards piece. It's on Apple Classical #AppleClassical #RossEdwards #FrogAndStarCycle https://classical.music.apple.com/au/album/1605753023

Terrific first look at Apple Music Classical by @dmoren (You might know Dan from his books, podcasts, or his SixColors writing):
Apple Classical launch video...
Will there be a setting to allow me to select #AppleClassical as the app that plays random tracks on connecting to my car stereo when it should be resuming my podcast playback?
Weird that there is no iPad version of the #AppleMusic Classical app. Or a desktop app for that matter. #Apple #AppleClassical #macOS
Oh, also notice how the “shuffle album” option is gone in #AppleClassical. Because no thank you, of COURSE I don’t want to shuffle a symphony or opera!!!
Here’s another example of what an improvement #AppleClassical is when you’re trying to find a specific movement of a multi-movement piece:
It might be easy to guess which track is the third movement of a symphony, but what if you forget exactly where Tortoises comes in The Carnival of the Animals?
Apple Music: IDK, who cares?
Apple Classical: I’ve got you!!
Why we so desperately needed a classical music focused app, example two.
Here’s a comparison of what you see in Apple Music vs. Apple Classical if you’re listening to a movement of the a multi-movement piece. In Apple Music, it shows you the full title of the piece before the movement information, and you have to wait a long time for it to start to scroll. In Apple Classical, the movement information is instantly visible. #AppleClassical #ClassicalMusic
