The firm they all worked for, started by James Salmon Senior in the 1830s, eventually morphed into Gillespie, Kidd and Coia, the legendary mid-20th Century Modernist architectural practice run by Jack Coia. This was wound up in 1987, ending a history of more than 150 years of helping to give Glasgow the look it has today.

I am stunned by this closed down shop. Through the shop window I could take a glimpse on these vintage tiles, which are clearly damaged but still absolutly beautiful. Can't stop thinking about what this shop used to be. My guess is definitely some kind of grocery shop. Thinking of Milk or Cheese What's your guess? And can anyone date those tiles? Please, please, please agree with me on early 20th century
what could an '#archidon', ie #architecture social network practice, on or bridging with #Mastodon & #Fediverse & #Twitter etc, be? We could set up Mastodon instance to help invite, on/spring-board people; set up crossposting with eg moa.party.
