Destination's Journey<p>The lead-ship of her class of six <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/protectedcruisers" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>protectedcruisers</span></a> built for the <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/RoyalNetherlandsNavy" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RoyalNetherlandsNavy</span></a>, <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/HNLMSHolland" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>HNLMSHolland</span></a> was launched on 4 October 1896</p><p>Holland spent her career in the <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/NetherlandsEastIndies" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>NetherlandsEastIndies</span></a>. During the <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/BoxerRebellion" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>BoxerRebellion</span></a> of 1900, along with other Dutch <a href="https://mastodon.world/tags/warships" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>warships</span></a>, she safeguarded Dutch and European interests in Shanghai.
