There is something fishy going on with #Cockpit/ cockpit plugins. I installed cockpit and a few plugins through the #Fedora repos on to the lil #macbook. After the install I had a bunch of graphical issues with #Gnome DE and Gnome specific apps.

On the upside to these #shenanigans, I finally cracked open the macbook to take a look inside. OMG! There was sooooooo much dust, crust, and lord knows-what in there. Now it is all clean, batteries have been inspected, and I swapped out the SSD for a larger SSD from the previous macbook.

Now it's time to reinstall #Fedora. Should I go with the standard Gnome install or go with the Cosmic spin?

Status update 2 of 2: The mini #Debian file server is currently sprawled out all over my desk. I have one of the drives connected and running data recovery. We’ll see how things go. When I attempt to attach one of the drives to my main computer I got “unknown file system” errors.

#MDADM would not work for me to reset up the drives. Reinstalling Debian didn’t work. I tried #ARMbian and #Ubuntu to no avail.

Maybe when I made tweaks to #Cockpit I scrambled the drives?
