#Compensation

I'm no fan of Reeves or Starmer or the finance companies, but from my own experiences buying #cars on #finance (since 2019) and even inspecting the #accounts of a #dealer in my region which went bust a few years ago I think the Supreme Court's decision was pragmatic - there's still opportunities for #compensation, but anything harsher would result in the finance companies walking away from the market, preventing younger working folk having access to reasonable cars, stalling the adoption of EVs amongst this generation (few could afford to buy even a used one at cash price!) and causing medium size independent dealers (who depend on the finance company to finance their stock) to go out of business (there's already many closures and layoffs as it is!)
