There's a lot of "Reminder; don't deploy to production on a Friday" messages going around.
A counter PSA: deploy on a Friday. Deploy whenever. Deploy little. Deploy often.
If you're frightened of your deployments, then take a hard look at them. Don't just _stop_.
My argument is not that #continuousdelivery is better than not CD (although I do think that)
It is to pick a lane, call it what it is, and be honest with yourself about your practices, and their maturity. If you think you need that Friday freeze, is that CD? No.
My view is that the first option can't be correct. Firstly, things that stop at a point in time do not continue.
That's how linear time works. There is no such thing as "Continuous, and ends on Thursday"
Continuous in #ContinuousDelivery means not having these freezes.
