The board had a duty to review the information, but its members also had a duty to decide what the *true* results of the #election were. He underlined this *interpretation* emphatically. “You don’t have to vote yes on that, you don’t have to vote no,” he said. “You vote your conscience.”

Now Andriola was uncertain. This didn’t seem right.

Re #Trump’s claims that #JackieSmith’s filing is in violation of the #DOJ’s 60 day before an election policy is BS. The DOJ's "60-day rule" applies to bringing NEW indictments in the days leading up to an #election, it is not relevant to the #ElectionInterference / #ElectionSubversion / #Jan6 / #FakeElectors #criminal #conspiracy case.

This is NOT a new #indictment. It is a #filing in regard to a VERY OLD indictment. Trump was first indicted in this case in Aug 2023.

#Trump’s detailed plot to overturn the results of the election was brazen & a major threat to American #democracy. Because of it, even today, millions of Trump supporters believe the last election was stolen, & that primes the public for new attempts at #ElectionSubversion. Trump’s new running mate, Sen #JDVance, had to go along w/the lie at Tue’s #VPdebate, refusing to admit the incontrovertible #truth that #TrumpLost the 2020 election.

#JackSmith’s brief spells out in much greater detail than we have seen elsewhere—including in the report of the special #House of Representatives cmte investigating the events of #Jan6 — evidence of #Trump’s attempts to subvert the election, & especially of Trump’s mental state.
