Why are billionaires?

In today's episode of 'End of the US Empire' Larry Ellison wants to put all American's data, including health records & DNA, into a big Oracle system for AI to "study".

Of course the ultimate goal is constant, real-time surveillance of a population, which Ellison suggests will keep everyone "on their best behavior." How's that working out for the Uyghurs then?

Lord save us from US eugenicist nazi billionaires.

Larry #ellison is such a billionaire twit. Growing lettuce to feed the world? Lettuce is just crunchy water with almost none of the vital nutrients humans need to live. Bulldoze you dumbass lettuce buildings and grow some pasture and forest back and raise sheep or goats. Better yet just give you money away to independent herd farmers that actually raise nutritious food for people on earth friendly farms. luxurylaunches.com/other_stuff

Luxurylaunches · Larry Ellison spent $500 million on his grand plan to feed the world by growing lettuce on his private island in Hawaii. Forget the world; the Oracle billionaire’s plan has been an utter failure, as his space-age greenhouses have barely managed to supply produce to nearby islands. - Luxurylaunches

Billionaire #Larry #Ellison’s leap into farming with his company,
Sensei Farms, serves up a classic reminder:
'being smart in one arena doesn’t mean success in another'.

As the WSJ reports, the #Oracle co-founder set out to reinvent agriculture on Hawaii’s Lāna‘i Island,
which he scooped up for $300 million back in 2012.

Thirteen years and more than $500 million later, the project is still floundering.

Ellison dreamed of AI-powered greenhouses and robot harvesters feeding the world sustainably.

Instead, Sensei has been tripped up by tech snarls and rookie mistakes
— like Wi-Fi issues and solar panels battered by Lanai’s winds.

Think greenhouses designed for Israel’s desert climate,
when Lāna‘i is typically muggy.

The company also mixed mature and baby plants together,
a blueprint for a pest paradise.

#Sensei, co-founded by a medical doctor and led currently by a tech exec who runs Sensei from Boston, has had small wins, reports the WSJ.

Its lettuce and cherry tomatoes now appear at the island’s few local markets and restaurants.

But constant delays, leadership shake-ups, and pricey blunders,
including cannabis grow houses that needed to be gutted and rebuilt,
highlight a tough truth:

even bottomless funding is no match for the hard lessons of a specialized industry.

Dystopian Society is knocking at the door.

Dont say Ive not been trying to warn you for a long time now. STOP playing along. Ignore that this mentions Blair, bc all politicians, all HE policy (eg the sad JISC), everyone, are behaving like headless cattle about this stuff. bloomberg.com/news/articles/20

Remember, Ellison is the guy that said “Citizens will be on their best behavior, because we’re constantly recording and reporting everything that is going on”. fortune.com/2024/09/17/oracle-

Throw away your ring doorbell. Throw away your Alexa, Echo, Siri. Throw any smart tech in the trash right now. Stop using your phone to pay for everything, use a dedicated card. Dont use Google as much as you can. Stop using loyalty cards. Use throwaway email accts.

Im not a conspiracy theorist, Im an ordinary mid level tech person. At least think about this a little bit. There are many highly technically literate ppl who now refer to themselves as Luddites, bc we are against technology that does harm.
