@MissGayle @courtcan I think the TV series #Extrapolations painted the picture really nicely. People are doing everything they can to keep living "normal" lives while normality is becoming more and more absurd. Like the curfew in India in the 2060s where people are only allowed outside after dark, and they spend the day dozing in air conditioned plastic cocoons.

@muellertadzio Ich habe #Extrapolations gesehen, Menschen gewöhnen sich an jeden Scheiß und nennen das dann "normal". Und wenn das heißt, daß man auf dem indischen Subkontinent den Tag in einem Kühlschlafsack verbringen muß und erst nach Sonnenuntergang raus darf, um nicht lebendig gekocht zu werden, ist das auch irgendwann normal.
Wer „#DasMinisteriumFürDieZukunft“ gelesen hat, sollte sich auch mal die #ExtrapolationsSeries anschauen.
Wie der Name verrät, geht es dabei um stufenweise #Extrapolations der heutigen Situation bis ca. 50 Jahre in die Zukunft. Neben der Darlegung der #Klimakrise geht es auch um Ansätze wie DNA-Speicher, Geo-Engineering usw.
Die zweite Folge „2046: Whale Fall“ („2046: Der letzte Wal“) ist so traurig. 
Großes Staraufgebot mit „hit or miss“-Konzept, aber so wichtig.

Und apropos »Extrapolations«: Erzählerisch nicht immer ganz stark, aber vermutlich die wichtigste Serie, die im letzten Jahr erschienen ist – oder zumindest die, über die ich am meistens nachgedacht habe. Hat aber außer mir scheinbar niemand gesehen. #Extrapolations #klimawandel

@clacke #Silo and #ForAllMankind are great IMHO. #Extrapolations is honestly hit and miss. I’d say the strongest episode is 2, “Whale Fall”.

Funny. I just watched episode 4 of (#Extrapolations), the miniseries on Apple TV that takes place in the near future affected by #ClimateChange.
There's a scene where a scientist (Ed Norton) compares "Geo-Engineering" to fix the climate to getting mauled by a bear and bringing in a lion to defeat the bear.
I just finished watching episodes 3 & 4 of "#Extrapolations" on Apple TV.

Last night I watched the first episode of "#Extrapolations" online on Apple TV… a miniseries about how life may/will change over the next 50 years if we don't take #GlobalWarming & #ClimateChange seriously.
And one thing they nailed is how it all comes down to #EMPATHY (or a lack thereof) that defines the two sides.
