One Queen of Night tulip finally decided it was time to open up. Two more buds are still working their way up. I really like them, but they are rather inconsistent for whatever reason.
Gestern Abend im Garten noch diesen Dolden-Milchstern entdeckt, der gerade im Kommen ist.
Die Blüten schließen sich abends und gehen bei Sonnenschein wieder auf.
Auf Englisch heißt die Pflanze auch "garden star-of-Bethlehem", "grass lily", "nap-at-noon", oder "eleven-o'clock lady".
Als ich gestern Abend unter den beiden blühenden Kirschbäumen stand, klang es so, als würde sich ein großer mehrstimmiger Chor einsingen, weil die vielen Hummeln alle so laut und vielstimmig gesummt haben.
