John Laghezza MLB / NFL Moving Averages 🤖
Coming to ya straight from an odd-smelling waiting room, it's Friday night lights' MLB pick 'em two-pack @MayoMediaNet@twitter.com @ThePME@twitter.com

ATL vs CLE, 720pmEST #ForTheA #ForTheLand

Theory of the case is pretty simple on this one. For his entire career, Chris Sale has been a habitual strike thrower; a 5.8% career walk rate through +1800ip is no small feat. Ignore the year-to-date 6.1%BB rate (which is great anyway), Sale's control may be better than ever — it's underpinned by the second lowest Ball% (28.9%) in MLB.
The Guardians have an interesting approach as a team; they don't strike out because their contact rates are very high, but they're also very aggressive — top-3 in MLB in both Swing% and Zone-Swing%. The results been the Guards as a bottom-5 squad in overall BB% but also BB% to LHP. Sale's going to challenge the zone nonstop and CLE will be happy to hack away to avoid falling behind in counts.

CHRIS SALE WALKS ALLOWED, 1.5 -- LOWER

SF vs PIT, 940pmEST #SFGiants #LetsGoBucs

Pirate sophomore SP Quinn "Judas" Priester gets another shot in the Big Show against the Giants in the San Francisco Bay. I get he's only 23-years-old... but the Sinker-first approach hasn't worked yet and I think the trend continues tonight. Through his career 54.1ip it's hard to imagine things going much worse to date — 7.79ERA (5.18 SIERA), 1.71WHIP, 3.9%K-BB, 46%Hard Hit, .401xwOBAcon, 2.5HR/9.... woof. It's tough to survive in MLB throwing 93mph to contact and not inducing whiffs with your secondaries.
Queue up Thairo Estrada for the Gigantes, who's just about the hottest hitter going right now. Over the last two weeks vsRHP (31PA) Thairo's crushing — .433BA, 1.252OPS, 52%Hard Hit, 12%Barrel, .399xwOBA with 6XBH. My model has SF as tonight's highest scoring team with Estrada at the center of it, plus we get the juicy 1.25x bonus.

THAIRO ESTRADA TOTAL BASES, 1.5 -- HIGHER

Sign up to Underdog using promo code: MMN for $100 first-deposit match bonus — https://play.underdogfantasy.com/pc-cIzlKpcF5B
