Libre Pixels<p>Uvědomil jsem si, že jsem nenapsal vůbec nic k <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/framework12" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>framework12</span></a> ... a ono není co a vlastně je to dobře. Nainstaloval jsem na něj Arch Linux s GNOME a vše funguje tak jak má - uspávání/probouzení, bluetooth, touchpad, dotyková obrazovka, stylus (Metapen M2). Kupoval jsem DIY verzi, do které jsem dal 2TB NVME a 48 GB RAM (to jsem trochu přestřelil, ale třeba desku v budoucnu použiju jako malý server). <br>Ekonomicky to asi moc nevychází, ale když přihlédnu k tomu, jak to celé funguje, tak je to super.</p>

A sidegrade from my previous Yoga but a lovely machine. I have it configured with Sway on Arch exactly like my old Yoga (<a href="https://rhys.wtf/posts/sway-and-arch-with-yoga" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">rhys.wtf/posts/sway-and-arch-w</span><span class="invisible">ith-yoga</span></a>) plus some additions.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.rhys.wtf/tags/Pebble" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Pebble</span></a> 2 Duo: I am absolutely giddy. It works perfectly. No jank, no bugs, nothing. Can't wait to get devving.</p>

half/byte<p>The <a href="https://ruby.social/tags/Framework12" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Framework12</span></a> is alive. This will be my experimental machine for now. I'm running Fedora/KDE on it, because I wanted to try both. I'm also trying out fish as a shell for now.</p><p>Install was easy (except that for some reason the Laptop did not recognize the Fedora image on my IODD, so I had to write it to a flash drive) and the Pen I got works out of the box and the tablet mode seems to work fine.</p><p>I have to say, the bubblegum colorway looks fabulous.</p>

Maybe an update in the future? Riko :veripawed3:<p>Der prognostizierte Liefertermin wird wahrscheinlich nicht eingehalten, aber die ersten Laptops wurden bereits ausgeliefert und mittlerweile summieren sich die Dinge, die mir ein mulmiges Bauchgefühl geben.</p><p>Der Laptop soll wohl relativ schnell den Lüfter anwerfen, der Akku hält nur 5h, Bildschirm und IO (Tastatur und Trackpad) überzeugen niemanden so richtig.</p><p>So langsam frage ich mich, ob ich meine Bestellung einfach stornieren soll. Die Aussicht den Laptop reparieren zu können wird reizlos, wenn das funktionierende Produkt schon keine Freude bereitet.</p><p>Wenn man an die 1000€ kratzt, sich aber denkt »naja, vielleicht kann man den Bildschirm ja zukünftig gegen einen besseren tauschen«, warum kaufe ich dann für so viel Geld etwas, wovon ich nicht überzeugt bin und eigentlich weiß, dass ich es wieder loswerden will. Kaufe ich gerade E-Waste? Was mach ich dann mit dem alten Touchscreen? Was würde so ein Display dann überhaupt kosten?</p><p>Hätte ich nicht so schlechte Erfahrungen mit MacBook Displays gemacht (wenn sie funktionieren: prima, wenn sie kaputt gehen: teuer) würde ich für das Geld ein MacBook Air kaufen.</p><p>Aber viel wichtiger: das <a href="https://meow.social/tags/Framework12" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Framework12</span></a> konkurriert sowohl ökonomisch als auch ethisch mit gebrauchten ThinkPads und so langsam frage ich mich ob ich am Ende vielleicht glücklicher bin, wenn ich einfach mein X270 behalte.</p>
