Simon Brooke<p>Right, so, I now have a recovery image, and the <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@frameworkcomputer" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>frameworkcomputer</span></a></span> laptop will boot from the recovery image on a USB drive. I can decrypt and mount my root disk, and check it over; it seems undamaged. But when I try to boot without the recovery USB drive, after I enter the decryption key for my root drive I get this screen.</p><p>It doesn't look like an @Debian screen to me; is this coming from the <a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/framework13" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>framework13</span></a> bios?</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/debian13trixie" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>debian13trixie</span></a> <br><a href="https://mastodon.scot/tags/Debian" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Debian</span></a></p>

This lets you set the maximum charge directly from KDE's power settings, for example, to extend battery life if you keep your laptop plugged in most of the time.</p><p>Much more convenient than adjusting it via the BIOS.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/framework16" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>framework16</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/framework13" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>framework13</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/kde" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>kde</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/batterylife" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>batterylife</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.gamedev.place/tags/battery" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>battery</span></a></p>

Moravian Kaleidoscopy Ltd🇺🇦<p>After a month of daily use I gotta say I'm quite satisfied with Framework 13.</p><p>‣ It can do 10 day uptime which beats Lattitude 5410 that locked up pretty much every day. Possibly USB and/or temperature related. Framework failed to wake up from sleep twice, once possibly due to NFS-related panic(?). Hello linux support ...</p><p>‣ Okay keyboard, nice metal chassis, nice display. Probably best touchpad I've tried besides Apple's. Expansion modules are great.</p><p><a href="https://witter.cz/tags/frameworklaptop" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>frameworklaptop</span></a> <a href="https://witter.cz/tags/framework13" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>framework13</span></a> mini <a href="https://witter.cz/tags/review" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>review</span></a></p>
Ihor Kalnytskyi<p>Giving GNOME a chance on my new Framework 13 laptop. Last time I tried it was around 7 years ago, and it's much better than I remember.</p><p>But some ridiculous things keep popping up — like the fact that I still can’t adjust the touchpad scroll speed. What the heck? libinput has supported this for ages.
