Anybody ever drop their phone enough times that it makes *some* apps run slow or not at all, while others run just fine? my back cover has been full of cracks and duct tape for ages, but the last drop was a bad one and the cover popped out. Now a few apps don't work while others are fine

For the last 1.5 days, my instance has been seriously messed up...it goes from unable to load any picture, all the way to completely unable to work. I don't even know who the mod is, but I'm guessing complaining about it ain't gonna help any. Does anybody have any ideas? My two other accounts on different instances work just fine

Hm, the new version (4.4.0) of Mastodon makes adding alt-text more difficult for me.

Using a web browser, when I opened a photo to add alt-text I could see the photo with the old version, now I can't see the photo with the new version.

I rely heavily on being able to see the photo to write the alt-text description. ... snip

Had a rare positive experience with customer support, so I thanked her & wished her a great day, as is only right. And then, because no good experience must go unruined in this day & age, the company is now asking me to rate her.

I *never* want to rate people. I'll very rarely rate a *company*, but I simply refuse to contribute to this exploitative practice. But I'm worried that even not leaving a vote will be used against the poor employee.

Is there any "good" choice here?
