Hoffentlich nie wieder ein versehentlich abgetauter Gefrierschrank, weil dessen Tür nicht richtig zu war. Seit heute gibt es Zigbee-Sensoren im Kühl- und Gefrierschrank. Sobald ich von ein/zwei Tagen Temperaturen protokolliert habe und die natürlichen Schwankungen kenne, werden Automationen angelegt, die per Pushnachricht und Alexa warnen, wenn die Temperatur unerwartet steigt und niemand in der Küche ist.

Almost all of these entities are being synced to HomeKit from my HomeAssistant setup.....
@macrumors proper smart and built-in “wait” function support in #HomeKit automations - so if no motion was detected in a living room for 5 minutes lights would switch off. But if after 3 minutes I walk in - timer would automatically reset. Would be amazing

After migrating to iOS 18.4 Apple is now permanently nagging me to update the HomeKit to the newer architecture even though it knows I have devices that can’t run it. It leaves the bright red circle with a white 1 badge on the System Settings and the Home app. I can dismiss the dialog in the Home app, but the badge remains.
I understand. After all, it’s not like I actually own the phone I bought and should have any say in what software it runs.
FritzBox hab ich nicht neu gestartet aber AppleTV (die aktuelle Zentrale) und beide HomePodMini … #HomeKit konnte sich weiterhin nicht mit #Homebridge verbinden.
Nachdem ich inzwischen eh alles in HB zurückgesetzt hatte war jetzt eh alles egal:
- Container gelöscht und neu eingerichtet, diesmal mit Netzwerk "Host" (nicht Bridge)
- Kein Backup zurückgespielt sondern Plugins (Dummy und Tado) neu installiert und konfiguriert… (1/3)
Hm. Auch wenn ich die Szene „Heizung Aus“ manuell aufrufe in #homekit passiert nichts. Evtl läuft also der Trigger korrekt, nur die Szene tut dann nix. 
Die Tado Thermostate sind über eine #homebridge eingebunden. Da muss ich doch mal schauen, ob die nicht läuft oder nicht mehr erreichbar ist … Ich hatte im Zuge einer VPN Einrichtung ja einiges an der #synology gemacht (Firewall z. B.) - evtl habe ich jetzt Ports ausgesperrt 
After years using the IKEA Tradfri hub and periods of it working fine for weeks and then periods of insufferable unreliability, recently got one of their DIRIGERA hubs. Huge improvement, both to reliability and to the process of pairing devices. I was reticent to make the switch because of the process of setting stuff up again, but it was a lot easier than feared. #homekit
Here’s a strange thing. IF I DO create a HomeKit Scene called “Morning” it works fine. The HomePods run the scene without confirmation, sound, anything. Just works.
If I say hey Siri “Good Morning” (with no scene or Shortcut called “Good Morning”) it will run the “Morning” scene AND give me a little da-ding confirmation that it ran successfully.
All I’m trying to do is create a SHORTCUT that turns on a bunch of lights and then speaks the words “Good morning” to me, like a nice little House AI would say to greet it’s homeowner.

I have a pair of OG HomePods. I have tried unsuccessfully to create a SHORTCUT called “Good Morning”. In my EXTENSIVE testing I can’t make Siri (via HomePods) recognize that Shortcut. If I rename it to… “Wicked” or some other word it works.
I DO NOT have a HomeKit SCENE called Good Morning or anything with the word Morning in it.
“Morning” has to be some messed up reserved word deep in Siri and associated with Scenes and not allowed for use in a Shortcut.

@magisternavis @claude_flammang Ich versuche beides parallel laufen zu haben. Bei #HomeAssistant gefällt mir das Dashboard und die Visualisierungen. Automationen habe ich bisher auch mit #Homebridge und #HomeKit gemacht und das würde ich auch so lassen.
@claude_flammang Ich nutze Homebridge um Geräte, die nicht #HomeKit-fähig sind, ins HomeKit zu bringen. Das ging mit #HomeAssistant für einige nicht (chinesischer Luftreiniger, Ring-Klingel und so Kleinkrams). Außerdem nutze ich #Homebridge für Fake-Schalter, die dann Push-Notifications auslösen. Deshalb möchte ich das mal ordentlich kombinieren.
