Adding the Atlantic editor to the Signal chat was not a careless mistake. The New York Times learning 12 hours ahead of time that Musk was taking part in sensitive war discussions with China was not a weird one-off. There is a clandestine cell, a "Deep Throat," operating in Trump's inner circle. #Signal #Houthis #Yemen #Hegseth

"What has been accomplished by these strikes, and will they actually work? The answer is plainly a negative one. The air strikes may have killed some Houthi leaders, but there is no shortage of others who will take their place, just as a year of decimating Hamas ended with the group simply having recruited the same number of fighters it lost, according to former secretary of state Antony Blinken, and still posing a threat to Israel’s security, according to the most recent US intelligence assessment.

More than a year of strikes by Biden didn’t end the Houthis’ attacks on shipping — as the former president famously commented, “Are they stopping the Houthis? No. Are they going to continue? Yes” — and so far, Trump’s bombing has only driven the Houthis to escalate their attacks and take the fight directly to US vessels. Before that, the Houthis withstood half a decade of much more brutal warfare at the hands of Saudi Arabia, which similarly failed to dislodge them despite creating a famine in the country and killing hundreds of thousands of Yemenis. It’s hard to believe it will work this time.

It seems, then, that Trump’s air strikes are the worst of every possible world: they have a dreadful human cost, they’re unconstitutional, they’re putting Americans in danger, and they are unlikely to even accomplish their ostensible goal. It’s not surprising all these facts have taken a back seat so far in reactions to the story. But if the press continues to ignore them in its discussion of the scandal, it is failing the American public."

Israel intercepts two missiles launched by Yemen’s Houthis

> The Israeli military said on Thursday it had intercepted two missiles launched from #Yemen before they crossed into Israeli territory, after sirens sounded in several areas in #Israel including Jerusalem.

> Yemen’s #Iran-backed #Houthis have been launching missiles and drones at Israel in support of #Hamas fighters. The United States has been striking #Houthi strongholds in Yemen since March 15, english.alarabiya.net/News/mid

"It’s always fascinated me how much empire managers focus on messaging. Their focus is never on whether or not they should do evil things, it’s on what narrative they’re going to sell to the public about the evil things they’re going to do.

Here we see Hegseth talking about the challenges in the administration’s “messaging” regarding its upcoming bombing campaign on Yemen, and the need to establish a public narrative about how (1) Biden is to blame for it and (2) the Houthis are “Iran funded”.

At no time does anyone ever raise the issue of whether or not it’s ethical to rain military explosives on an already war-ravaged and deeply impoverished nation in order to protect Israel’s right to commit genocide. Hegseth’s interest is solely in what stories will be told to the public to justify those actions.

These are the kinds of people who rule our world. This is how they think.

The powerful understand that narrative control is everything. Power is the ability to control what happens, but ultimate power is the ability to control what people think about what happens. Human consciousness is dominated by mental narratives, so if you can control what narratives the humans believe about their reality, you can control the humans.

The need to control the narrative is why the US empire has invested so heavily in soft power, and why it has the most sophisticated propaganda machine ever constructed."

Ansarallah Targets Ben Gurion Airport, Engages US Warships in Red Sea

The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) have launched a series of military strikes targeting Zionist and US assets, including Ben Gurion Airport and enemy warships in the Red Sea, according to a statement by the Yemeni Armed Forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree.

Saree announced that Yemeni forces successfully struck Ben Gurion Airport in occupied Yafa with a Zulfiqar ballistic missile, while a Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missile hit a military target in the southern part of the area. Both operations achieved their objectives, as per the YAF spokesperson.

In a significant escalation, Yemeni forces also carried out a joint military operation in the Red Sea, targeting US and allied naval forces, including the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier. The attack involved ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones.

YAF escalate military operations

Saree added that the Yemeni Armed Forces significantly escalated their military operations, thwarting enemy warships’ advances in the southern Red Sea and launching fresh missile strikes on the occupying regime.

In a statement on Thursday, the Yemeni military confirmed that its defensive operations had successfully repelled naval incursions, vowing to continue expanding its military response in the coming days.

“The enemy will witness more of the might of Yemen’s unyielding people—strength, determination, resilience, and unwavering faith,” the statement read.

The YAF also reaffirmed their commitment to blocking Zionist navigation in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea, emphasizing their ongoing support for Gaza until the blockade is lifted.

Meanwhile, Zionist media reported that two missiles were launched from Yemen toward the occupation, triggering air raid sirens and explosions across central regions. The Zionist military confirmed that missile debris fell on a major highway connecting Tel Aviv to occupied al-Quds, causing widespread panic.

Following the attack, operations at Ben Gurion Airport were temporarily suspended as millions of settlers sought shelter, according to Israeli reports. The escalation follows Yemen’s drone strike on Zionist military targets in occupied Yafa on Wednesday, not to mention military operation targeting the United States Navy Carrier Strike Group 8, which lasted for hours, and a missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport earlier in the week.

It is worth noting that Yemen has vowed, despite the brutal US- UK aggression, to continue its military operations against Zionist targets and maintain its blockade on Zionist maritime activity until the ongoing war on Gaza ends.

US launches new aggression on Yemen with 15 airstrikes

Meanwhile, the US carried out a new aggression with 15 airstrikes on the southern and northeastern outskirts of the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, on Wednesday evening.

The airstrikes targeted the Jirban area in the Sanhan district, south of Sanaa, as well as the al-Khadam area and Jabal al-Jamima in the Bani Houshesh district to the east, in addition to the al-Dailami Air Base to the north.

Eight airstrikes targeted the Jirban area in Sanhan district, while five strikes hit the al-Khadam and Jamima Rajam areas in the Bani Hushaysh district.

Additionally, US warplanes bombed the vicinity of Sanaa International Airport.

Yemen’s Al-Masirah TV had earlier reported 17 raids by the United States “on the Saada governorate,” on top of two more on Amran.

The official news agency, SABA, said that “the American aggression targeted the Oncology Hospital building in Saada.”

Sanaa’s Health Ministry confirmed that two civilians were wounded in the latest hospital attack, which it described as “a full-fledged war crime.”

Below we publish the whole statement about the solidarity actions by Ansarallah:

In support of the oppressed Palestinian people and in backing of its valiant resistance,
the missile force targeted “Ben Gurion” Airport in the occupied Yaffa area with a ballistic missile of the Dhu al-Fiqar type, and a military target south of occupied Yaffa with a hypersonic ballistic missile of the Palestine 2 type. The operation successfully achieved its objective, by the grace of Allah.

In response to the ongoing American aggression against our country,
the missile force, the drone air force, and the naval forces carried out a joint military operation targeting hostile warships in the Red Sea, primarily the American aircraft carrier “Truman,” using several ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones.

As a result of defensive operations and confrontations over the past days, the enemy’s attempts to advance its warships toward the southern Red Sea were thwarted, and all its attempts to expand its aggression against our country through airstrikes and bombardments from the sea were foiled.

The Yemeni Armed Forces affirm that American aggression will only increase Yemenis in steadfastness and firmness and that the confrontations in the past days were merely the beginning of a gradual expansion of defensive operations in the coming days. The enemy will witness more of the might of the Yemeni people, who are steadfast in their will, determination, and faith.

We continue to prevent “israeli” navigation in the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea, and we continue to support and back our steadfast, oppressed brothers in Gaza until the aggression against them ceases and the siege is lifted.

Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs. The best protector and the best helper.

Long live Yemen—free, proud, and independent.
Victory to Yemen and to all the free people of the nation.
