The museum includes an exhibit about the 2015 project that moved the Gay Head Light away from the eroding clay cliffs, as well as lots of other Vineyard-related exhibits. Neat museum, beautiful building and grounds. <br>

It is sleek German design. It is Das Book. The paper makes my fancy ink sheen fancily. It has a capybara sticker and lizard stamps inside because it's mine and of course it does. I expect I will decorate it more as time goes on but it'll be a slow process. I don't want to just coat it with stickers at random.</p>

ThomasVor einiger Zeit hatte ich die Gelegenheit, mit einer alten Rolleicord zu fotografieren. Da an dieser Kamera alles analog und manuell ist, kann man schon mal vergessen, den Film weiterzudrehen. So entstand diese interessante Doppelbelichtung.<br>

MikeNauset Light, 7/9/23. I’ve visited this lighthouse many times, but this was the first opportunity I had to climb it. It’s been beautifully maintained. Unfortunately, they don’t allow you to go up into the lantern room, so I was only able to view the lamps from the lantern room stairs. Niko Trimmel<p>Empfehlenswert, aber sehr umfassend ist ein Besuch im War Museum in Fort St. Elmo. Der Titel trügt etwas, denn das Museum veranschaulicht eigentlich die gesamte politische Geschichte der Insel und ist kein heeresgeschichtliches Museum.</p><p>Vom Fort aus, aber auch von diversen öffentlichen Parks aus, hat man einen super Blick auf den Hafen und das Meer direkt vor Valetta.</p><p>Zu Mittag gegessen haben wir übrigens in einem Restaurant namens "Cheeky Monkey", dessen Logo ein trinkender Affe ist. MikeCape Elizabeth Lighthouses, Cape Elizabeth, Maine, 4/11/2024. These twin lights were both built in 1874. I visited Two Lights State Park once before, many, many years ago, and I recall it was difficult to get a good view of either of them. It’s even more overgrown today, and the lighthouses are now not visible at all from the park; but you can get a fine view (of the east tower at least) at the end of Two Lights Road. The east tower is widely familiar, thanks to Edward Hopper’s paintings, most notably “The Lighthouse at Two Lights.” It is still in use as an active aid to navigation and the optic is maintained by the USCG. The residence is privately owned. The west tower was discontinued as a lighthouse in 1924. During WWII the lantern room was removed and the tower was converted into a lookout post. The west tower and residence are now both privately owned. <br>

Der Leuchtturm von Heidkate an der Ostseeküste … er ist zwar nicht besonders groß … aber er leitet die 
️ Schiffe 
auf See sicher durch Nacht und Stürme und bietet ihnen 
Orientierung! Es kommt nicht auf die Größe an, um ein Held zu sein!!!
