Alfred Chow - Maker of Things

Today I popped over to work,
And checked that construction waste was removed last night.
Then we packed tools,
And went to the community workshop.
Stopped off at Lidl on the way,
And picked up a tiny chainsaw, battery, and charger.
At the workshop we made an installed more shelf brackets,
And stacked timer on them.
Back to work in our garden,
I buried the drains I was working on,
And set the York stone paving back in place.
Did caretaking,
And photographed the construction works.
Sent emails,
And made phone calls.
Checked on Mum,
We'll need to remove her cooker extractor.
Joined in with #MakersHour,
Some of the questions were hard!
Tired now,
So winding down.

#MakersHour A1 introduction , project, biopic titld.

Jeff, US coastal northwest, still filling in the embroidered dishtowel with all the characters with giant fruit shaped hats.

Next up probably some piecing. Maybe a quilted project bag more secure than my "Crow Tools" folder.

My creative life biopic title? Maybe "Needles On The Bus" for commute time stitching.

Q5: Someone near and dear has said they don't want you to buy them anything for their birthday, but MAKE something. What are you making, for whom?
A5: Well, I have loved ones who adore it when I mend their clothes. So probably that. Otherwise, I'd be happy to make things for most everyone I'd be wanting to give a birthday gift to, but I'd want to talk to them about what they wanted, and make something with their input, because otherwise I might spend a *lot* of time and energy on something they don't even want. And that seems silly to me when it's easily avoidable.
