#COVID cases and hospitalizations seem to have plateaued again in #NYC. I'm still worried they'll rise again, but in the meantime, #COVID19 hospitalizations are under 4 per lakh per day, and flu and RSV cases have continued to drop.

I've spent time eating and working in indoor public spaces this week, but #COVIDIsNotOver so I still #WearAMask in crowded places like elevators, trains and buses, and #MaskUp where there are vulnerable people like doctors' offices, pharmacies and grocery stores!

people are being socially killed by COVID and are becoming disabled for life, but can't make mandatory masks in your spaces because "you can't force people."

Of course you can force people, that's what we did in 2020, 2021, and 2022.

Maybe you don't want to make the effort because you don't have enough courage to defend disabled lives.

Went to see Köln 75 at the little indie movie theatre here. I thought it was an interesting thing to have a bilingual movie (English and German) without any subtitles; just expecting the audience to understand both well enough.

It was an enjoyable film. Funny in parts. Some of it is very German. The family dynamic reminded me of the way my father's family would sometimes speak to each other.

@Bette When cancer center employees are not masking, then you know the medical establishment is not doing its duty of PRIMUM NON NOCERE. The very act of not wearing a mask as a health care provider in an oncology clinic sends a loud message to patients that "there is no risk of aerosol transmission of infectious particles" when there actually is (we're still in respiratory season!), and also "you are not an at risk population" so carry on. The mass denial is so unreal and shameful.
