SouprMatt<p>I usually enjoy <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/MorningEdition" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>MorningEdition</span></a> on <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/NPR" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NPR</span></a> but this morning they are leading with (for the 2nd day in a row) the Jake Tapper book. </p><p>I had to turn it off after hearing him use the following rhetoric device more than once: “If you didn’t do anything wrong, why did you run when the police broke down your door?”</p><p>He didn’t have direct evidence for the things he asserted, but used that “logic” to defend his conclusions. He also failed to name most of his sources. Anybody who follows politics knows that political insider sources that don’t give names on stuff like this are people with an axe to grind. </p><p>Just like Tapper’s debate “moderation” which involved no fact checking and no insistence on candidate answering questions, this makes a mockery of journalism.</p>
