Prolost Boardo is an intuitive animated storyboards plugin for After Effects.

It would be amazing to have an open source solution that could provide similar functionality on Linux. This solution could either come as a stand alone storyboard application or as a plugin to an existing application like Krita, GIMP, Inkscape, Kdenlive, Natron, etc.
Motion tracking is a technique used to record and analyze the movement of an object or element in a video clip, then apply that movement data to another object or effect, like a particle emitter, filter, or text.

With access to so many open source 2D and 3D tools, I would like to see more individuals releasing open source projects showcasing these powerful tools.
Projects like ZeMarmot, a 2D animation movie to be released under Creative Common by-SA/Art Libre licenses and fully made with creative Free Software.

@nunosans For AfterEffects, it depends a lot on what you want to accomplish, but there are a number options with different licenses and varying degrees of usability.
#foss - #Natron, #Friction, #SynfigStudio, #Glaxnimate, #Pencil2D, #Enve, or possibly #Blender
Proprietary - www.keyshapeapp.com (Mac only), cavalry.scenegroup.co (subscription-based)
I can't really vouch for any of them, but I've experimented with some of the free ones and Friction is what I'm planning to dive into eventually.
Over 10 years since I did my first commit to #Natron... Where did the time go? Sadly the Natron project never reached its potential. The first couple years was fun, I learned a lot and had the privilege to work with very talented developers.
A good discussion about open source video editors. We use #Shotcut and #Natron. May the #Foss be with you. https://www.xda-developers.com/final-cut-pro-open-source-alternatives/

Green screen, also know as chroma key, is a video technique that dynamic replaces your video background. Applications like Kdenlive, Shotcut, Flowblade, OBS and Natron support green screen.
Here are three main rules to setup your green screen.
1. Light your screen evenly.
2. Avoid casting any shadows on your green screen.
3. Light your green screen separately from the lighting on your subject as much as possible.
Beware of scams on eBay. Video Compositing Software for Windows and Mac Green screen easy to use.
They are selling Natron on eBay for $11.99.
Beware of scams on the internet. Someone on Amazon is selling the free and open source compositing software for VFX and motion graphics for $19 US dollars.
Why would you buy Natron on Amazon if you could download the latest release for free from their website?

Natron is a naturally occurring mixture of sodium carbonate (washing soda) and sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), along with small amounts of other salts. It is found in dry lake beds, especially in regions with high evaporation rates, like parts of Africa and the Middle East.
Natron is an open-source compositing software used for visual effects and motion graphics. It offers a node-based interface, which allows users to create and manage complex visual effects and compositions efficiently. Natron provides tools for color correction, keying, tracking, flexible rotoscoping, curve editor, dope-sheet editor, Shadertoy & G'MIC OFX plugins, and so much more.
