OpenSearch adoption is on the rise. A recent study shows 46% of OpenSearch users run it via managed services (proving it’s production-ready at scale). And 87% want even deeper integrations with other open source tech – a testament to OpenSearch’s growing ecosystem. https://www.linuxfoundation.org/blog/charting-the-future-of-opensearch #OpenSearch #OpenSource
@brouhaha #OpenSearch has continued to grow and do well even after #Elasticsearch relicensed. In some steep heavy irony, #Graylog had moved to #OpenSearch from #Elastic, which should have been an obvious example to everyone else that SSPL is absolutely terrible for your dev community and business. (Ditto for BuSL).

Did you miss my update on the #OpenSearch Project this month at #KubeCon's Observability Day Europe 2025?
It's now available online, along with the other project updates.

Nice to spend time doing yard work and gardening today before I fly out to #OpenSearchCon Europe in Amsterdam tomorrow, then on to München for an #OpenSearch User Group.
I'm starting off day two at #OpenSearchCon EU next week in Amsterdam with "The State of OpenSearch User Groups: Building a Global Community"
after this project I can say:
the strimzi #kafka operator is real nice. feels kubernetesy, smooth features, good documentation, example work.
the #opensearch operator shows grudging admittance that kubernetes exists. ;)
#clickhouse is a great tool. highly recommended.
open telemetry collectors are partially not mature enough. needs work still.
OpenSearch + LLMs? Yes! DYK that OpenSearch integrates with DeepSeek, bringing powerful AI Q&A and chat capabilities to your data? You can now ask natural language questions against your OpenSearch indices (and get answers!) or use LLM-powered analysis right within OpenSearch.

Tech Tip: Need to ingest and transform data for OpenSearch? Check out OpenSearch Data Prepper. It’s a server-side data collector that can filter, enrich, and aggregate your data before indexing. Perfect for building robust pipelines for logs or metrics.
[RFC] Leverage Conditional APIs for Multi-Writer Detection in Remote Store Clusters. The team would appreciate your feedback on this. #OpenSearch
