Let me share some history: Mental Health America (MHA), previously called the National Mental Health Foundation, began this in 1949!

The Mission: To raise awareness, educate the public about mental illnesses, and eliminate stigma. Their goal was to get people talking!

What's with the green ribbon and why May?
1. Springtime vibes: Spring is all about new beginnings, growth, and hope. This fits perfectly with the idea of getting better and making positive changes when it comes to hashtag#mentalhealth.

2. Good timing: Starting in May gave everyone a specific time each year to plan and run their awareness campaigns.

3. Tradition: Over the years, Mental Health Awareness Month has become a tradition, helping it gain more and more recognition.

If you ever consider being a dickhead in public transport and think that poking a blind person's back instead of talking to them when you don't want them to sit next to you - please exit the vehicle and lay down in front of it so you can be driven over like the cockroach you are.

Spanien: Protest bei Foldeco Madrid geht weiter

Am 26. April hat sich erneut eine Gruppe von Aktivist*innen der CNT-IAA Madrid vor den Toren der Firma #Foldeco versammelt, die sich im Gewerbegebiet Carpetania (Getafe) befindet. Sie versammelten sich dort, um Solidarität mit einem Genossen zu zeigen, der von diesem Unternehmen schlecht behandelt wurde. Bis hin zu körperlichen Angriffen, nur weil er das Fehlen von Grundrechten nicht akzeptieren wollte.

Zwar haben wir Arbeiter*innen solche Rechte, aber wir wissen längst, dass bestimmte Menschen denken, #Arbeitsrechte stören nur bei der Ausbeutung. Um ihre Macht zu vergrößern, sowie durch Leid und Zwang der Arbeiter*innen ihre mittelmäßige Habgier zu befriedigen. Leider gehören dazu auch die Chefs und ihre Handlanger*innen, welche unseren Genossen angeriffen haben.

Doch unser Genosse wird niemals allein sein: Wir werden gemeinsam gegen die Ausbeutung bei Foldeco vorgehen und deren Verstöße offenlegen:

- fehlende #PSA [Persönliche Schutz-Ausrüstung] beim Umgang mit giftigen Materialien
- Verpflichtung zu #Überstunden
- unbezahlte Überstunden
- Druck auf die Urlaubsgestaltung und sogar Leugnung des #Urlaubsanspruchs
- und noch viel mehr
