Dendrobatus Azureus<p>These are compositions with my Raspberry Pi 5 connected with a TP-LINK USB Wi-Fi NIC</p><p>As you can see from the photographs of the box, the device has been created a number of years ago, because it still came with the driver CD for Closed Source Operating Systems</p><p>When I bought the USB Nick TP-LINK had not provided the data sheets for the network module coders to build a module for it, effectively rendering the NIC useless for me </p><p>Because I now have my SBC I took the NIC out just to see if I could use it for a spin. </p><p>The motivation is that the re-spin version of MX Linux for Raspberry Pi, refused to work with the Broadcom NIC embedded in the SBC.</p><p>I jumped to another USB NIC that also came with my SBC. Luckily that one worked out of the box. It was then that I remembered the tp-link USB NIC.</p><p>So thanks to the Raspberry Pi5, I now have use for the TP Link NIC, that I had shelved years ago.</p><p>Because I now have two working USB Wi-Fi NICs I can properly use a router OS on the SBC. I will work with two DDWRT and As you all know routing needs two network segments.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/TPLink" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TPLink</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/NIC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>NIC</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/USB" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>USB</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/WiFi" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>WiFi</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/router" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>router</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/routerOS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>routerOS</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/network" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>network</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/segments" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>segments</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/programming" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>programming</span></a></p>
Alauddin Maulana Hirzan 💻<p>I really want to create my own simple router with FreeBSD for NIDS use. However, that's a future wish that I want to do later. My current target is to create a simulation with multiple jails that act as clients and routers. With IPv6 addressing, I want to connect them and pass the traffic between different networks. My current problem is how to do packet forwarding(?) like a normal router does. But I want to do it FreeBSD style. Any hints or help are appreciated</p><p>My current knowledge: I am familiar with basic jail, the epair mechanism, and a small bit of pf configurations.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/freebsd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>freebsd</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/ipv6" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ipv6</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.bsd.cafe/tags/router" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>router</span></a></p>

Here's my SeinSmart Genmitsu 4030 ProxerXL in its new robot box. I've tried to tighten up the spindle and tool a bit for another pass.

I plan to buy longer hex wrenches tomorrow to get more leverage.

This is working on 3/8 in / ~9.5 mm thick 6061 aluminum at 100 mm / minute with a 3.175 mm flat tool at 0.5 mm depth per pass with a custom gcode generator.
