Samsung is finally releasing Ballie
The ball-shaped robot is equipped with two wheels and designed as a personal assistant for the home. It has gone through a number of upgrades over the years and now features a built-in projector, speaker, and microphone.
Samsung has partnered with Google to bring its Gemini multimodal reasoning to the bot.

The other thing I don’t like is that I gave it a charging limit of 200 watts, but if there is a load, it will pull 200 watts + the load.

I was actually hoping I could get the 12V inverter to shut off after a period of time, because an iPad will just “charge” forever. There’s enough of a load to keep the power station from thinking it’s idle. #SmartHome #InternetOfShit
More fun with #SmartHome gadgets. I have one of those “solar generator” things (it’s a just a big-ass battery). Well apparently it forgot its WiFi connection, so the storm feature didn’t kick in until I happened to need to use the app to check something.
Cue sudden 1 kW load. This could have tripped the circuit breaker if I had two machines running. I may need to rethink this.
