“The New Guy”
WTC, NYC.
Born and raised in NYC, and being a skateboarder for most of those years, the Twin Towers were always a kind of navigational landmark (not to mention a fun place to skate as well).
We all know what happened. And while I can appreciate the new guy, my heart still misses the original towers.

A black and white photograph of a part of the NYC skyline. Taken from a very low angle, so the World Trade Center is peaking above the buildings below, all following a converging perspective. Even though it’s only a third of each building, it feels like a billion windows are visible. And in each window, I wonder how many of the people in there actually miss the original twin towers. Not how they feel about 9/11, just actually missing the presence of the towers. If they felt connected to them the way some of us did, acting like a kind of guardian, making sure you never felt lost in the swirl of New York City life.

“Ghost Bridge”
George Washington Bridge. Washington Heights, NYC.

I was driving down the Henry Hudson when I saw how the fog had hidden much of the bridge.
I probably pulled over somewhere I shouldn’t have pulled over, but I had to get the shot, especially since the fog was moving quick.

A black and white photography of the George Washington bridge, located in Upper Manhattan, crossing over the Hudson River into New Jersey. The bridge is mostly covered in fog, but enough of the bridge is visible and easily recognizable. The fog was moving quickly across the river.

Paid a visit to Camber Sands today as the weather was gorgeous and had family visiting from the Midlands for a few days.

Amongst my duties as family photog, I was also lucky to put in some well needed practice to hone my wildlife photography skills.

Like many photographers, only the worthy images get to see the light of day. For me, they a few and far between and hopefully this one is worthy for @cupoftea.social

Some of my #astrophotography shots I took in my back yard. Luna, Saturn, Jupiter. My camera is #SonyA7r4 #600mm with a 1.4teleconverter and 1.5x crop effective size roughly 1200mm. Looks like Mastodon compresses them pretty heavily. I’ll try to share full size if I can.
