Here is a #riddle for the modern #philosopher.
What lies on the border between #agreement and #disagreement?
But doesn't cause people to either #disagree or #agree with its objectives?
It's #medicine.
To be more #specific, the #act of #healing itself.
As a #subconscious #universal #concept.
#wealth
I know for some reason I am the only one counting and upset about this but
We are now being subjected to 8 DIFFERENT #TRUMP #COMMERCIALS on all the non-Fox #TV networks (new ones each week)
It's nauseating but will definitely have the desired effect of getting people accustomed to constant praise of Trump and blatant outrageous #lies being fed into their #subconscious 24/7
This should be a MUCH bigger story!
Democrats must counter with ads of their own!

My alleged sleep paralysis demon I say that with not being so sure due to my fringe science paranormal experiences I've had through different times in my life, it was a sexy woman like ghost or demon and tried to sever me from my body twice in the same morning with a short period of sleep between the two failed attempts and it hasn't happened again.

Poems
1 Dyed with red clay I collected from right in the middle of Atlanta near an old train line, remnants of the tracks shedding into the ground. 2 Dyed with Black Walnut shells from trees near the Alcovy River. They are subterranean stories- like dreams where we see and remember a person turning to look back at us from a doorway.

I include dreams in a lot of my stories. Some of those stories have gone on to win awards. And yet every now and then, an editor will tell me something along the lines of "add a dream and lose a reader."
Where does this literary proscriptivism come from? Some of my favourite stories have dream sequences.
I suspect it's some colonial bullshit, because dreams have power in a lot of cultures.
I don't plan on avoiding dreams in my writing. My dreams have always been important to me, and I remember dreams I had all the way back from when I was a small child. I was a lucid dreamer for years and used to study for my exams in my sleep. I found it very helpful. I wish I could still direct my dreams even halfway as well now.
So what are your thoughts on dreams in literature? Yay or nay? And why?
Edit: the labeling of dreams as meaningless does have colonial roots. Check out this paper on colonialism and Inuit dream sharing. http://inuitoralityconference.com/art/Bordin.pdf
