I just stumbled over something called #SwitchBot Safetyalarm. Reading through this ad piece at #TheVerge let me wonder about what could possibly go wrong with your personal Bluetooth, NFC enabled tracker fob on a key chain, that can also be used to open your door.

There is something magical about using your face imprint to unlock the door. I have been using it for 3 months, and I no longer take the keys with me. Works great and with redundancy built in, I don't worry about lockouts! Thanks #SwitchBot

Today's Apple event is getting most of the attention, mine included, but today I also came across a rather different product announcement that seems to have slipped under my radar.

Switchbot, the smart home company, announced....whatever this is at IFA this week.

Apparently it's a robotic "AI Pet" with simulated emotions. Quite a departure from robotic fingers to press dumb switches.

I don't care for the AI stuff, but if like many of Switchbot's other products, this get's a Home Assistant integration I'm kind of intrigued.

昨天要更換 #SwitchBot 門窗感測器的電池時把它弄壞了，因為它本體設計非常緊湊的緣故，沒辦法塞進去一般電池盒常見的螺旋式電池接觸點，而只是把金屬片彎折可以接觸到電池。可是這種設計在經過一段時間後就會變形，無法像螺旋式設計在拆除電池後恢復原本的形狀，導致電池接觸不良。

而昨天就是要把彎折的接觸點復原時弄斷了，不過後來找了沒用的遙控器，把上面的螺旋式電池接觸點拆下，勉強塞進去SwitchBot門窗感測器，電池變得有些難裝但還是塞進去了，繼續正常使用。

如果打算買SwitchBot門窗感測器要注意這個問題。
