bluejayrobin<p>Hey all--looking for career advice. </p>
<p>I'm trying to become a Scrum Master or a Project Manager and am currently a "Technical Support Analyst I," which in my case means that I do a combination of Manual QA Release Testing and ticket queue work. However, I've been leading daily Stand Up and I help track the status and progress of various items the Development team is working on. I have had my current position for 2.5 years--I had one job before this, also in tech support, that lasted 1 year. So, in total, about 3.5 years of experience.</p>
<p>I have a Scrum Master certification (Certified Scrum Master) from Scrum Alliance. Now what? Am I ready to apply for jobs, and if so, WHICH jobs? Do I apply for Scrum Master/Project Management roles, or should I be applying to something else as a stepping stone to get there? Do people even hire Scrum Masters anymore? If not, should I be focusing on Project Management instead, and if so, how do I pivot to Project Management?</p>
<p>If it helps, I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science.</p>
<p>Please boost! I have no idea what I'm doing. All I know is that I'm trying to make enough money to survive and we're just not there yet.</p><br> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/career%20advice" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#career-advice</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/jobs" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#jobs</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/scrum" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#scrum</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/agile" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#agile</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/project%20management" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#project-management</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/scrum%20master" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#scrum-master</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/IT" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#IT</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/tech%20support" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#tech-support</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/technical%20support" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#technical-support</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/getfedihired" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#getfedihired</a>
