programming.devPolice response in non-life-threatening situations? - programming.devIk heb maar drie situaties meegemaakt waarin ik graag een of andere vorm van politie/handhaving had gezien, maar alle drie waren teleurstellend. - Een paar kinderen in een fietstunnel die voetzoekers naar voorbijgangers gooiden. Niet gevaarlijk maar ook niet prettig, ik probeerde 8844 te bellen, maar na 10 minuten in de wacht te hebben gestaan gaf ik het op. - In de trein viel een man een dame lastig, ik greep een beetje in om haar weg te laten komen en stuurde een bericht naar het WhatsApp-nummer van de NS. Er werd traag gereageerd, en ze stopten met reageren zodra ik zei dat de man de trein had verlaten. - In een park in Leiden begonnen halverwege de middag 2 vervelende kerels een onbekende man lastig te vallen en godslastering te schreeuwen op het gras bij hen in de buurt, allemaal met kinderen in de buurt. De man ging uiteindelijk weg. Ik probeerde 8844 te bellen, ze stelden voor om in plaats daarvan contact op te nemen met de plaatselijke Handhaving, door het telefoonnummer te googelen… Ik heb dat telefoonnummer nooit gevonden. Is de reactie op niet-kritieke maar onaangename situaties altijd zo… slecht? Moet ik in sommige van deze situaties gewoon 112 bellen?

Het concert had in juni moeten plaatsvinden, maar wordt in mei afgeblazen. Inmiddels zijn we bijna een jaar verder en is niet duidelijk waar het geld van tickethouders gebleven is en waarom het concert precies werd afgelast. Het is niet het eerste mislukte concert van Burna Boy in Nederland dat door het bedrijf Bon Bon Entertainment wordt georganiseerd. Wij besluiten onderzoek te doen en reconstrueren met hulp van ingewijden hoe het tot twee keer toe zo mis heeft kunnen gaan. A Head Full of Wishes · Diary: Dean Wareham in Groningen - 12th April 2025The last of the three shows I was attending on this tour turned out to be in Groningen in The Netherlands, but that hadn’t been the original plan. Hazel and I had intended to see the show in Hamburg and had booked our ferries and trains to get there… and then DB started sending me multiple emails saying that the trains would be disrupted, but weren’t very helpful in explaining just how disrupted and whether we would be able to make all our connections. So rather than struggle our way across to Hamburg we decided to see a show one day earlier in Groningen.
