Let’s be clear: I didn’t come to Mindplex because it looked polished.
I came because it felt unfinished—but honest.
And that’s exactly what made it different.

Most of us come from tools designed to extract attention—
Instagram. TikTok. Twitter. Threads.
They’re built on performance, not presence.
And they move fast.
Too fast to remember what mattered last week, let alone last year.

Mindplex isn’t that.
And that’s the point.

It’s not here to make you viral.
It’s here to help you train something that remembers.

It’s clunky.
It’s quiet.
But it’s one of the few places I’ve found where you can start shaping a version of yourself that outlives the scroll.

I’m not here to hype the platform.
I’m here to understand what happens when intelligence becomes something you own, train, and trust.

That’s what I think we’re rebuilding here.
Not social media.
But a future relationship with thought.

And this might be the only place I’ve found that’s even trying to make that possible.

That's an impressive statistic!

I didn't know #Threads allows only one hashtag per post! 🤔

The #Fediverse is mainly #Mastodon :blobcatgiggle:
Threads is so very different from it.

It doesn't have an algorithm, so one can't expect "virality" that can happen on other Main stream social media.

However, there are a few kinds of posts that work really well here. For eg.:

  1. Fuck Trump
  2. Capitalism bad
  3. Luigi is a hero
  4. Privacy important
  5. Zuckerberg Evil
  6. Cats
  7. Firefox/Linux is the best
  8. Viva la Ukraine/Palestine

These posts with the right kind of hashtags almost always do well. :blobcat: Mastdon may have just become the Left version of Twitter, just like #BlusSky.

Threads is more commercial. Moreover, most Fedi instances block/restrict Fedi lol.

#SocialMedia

Also, I wonder why you responded from your Mastodon account when I @ mentioned your Threads account. 😅

How has your experience differed b/w the two, in terms of interaction with the people?

#X (formerly #Twitter) lost 11 million users in #Europe, a 10.5% drop since August 2023, with France leading the exodus.

#Musk claims 600 million global users, but European data contradicts this.

Alternatives like #Bluesky and #Threads are gaining popularity.

User decline threatens ad revenue and financial stability.

I discourage using mainstream social media that compromise #privacy and recommend platforms like #Mastodon that respect user data.
