The game has an interesting auction mechanism that is app assisted. Really enjoy Power Plants. This is a quick to learn and very think-y area majority game! Place a tile and you activate the powerful ability of that plant type OR you can activate all the lesser abilities of every tile your new tile touches. Makes for a lot of really interesting decisions. Truly excellent game with lots of drama in those tough decisions.
By coincidence last night I played two tile-laying games that start with a landscape piece that you connect to—Vikings and New World: A Carcassonne Game. I lost both of them, so of course I dislike them, lol. #boardgames #Carcassonne #TilePlacement

The Living Forest is a great mix of familiar mechanisms combined into one great game. A cherished game in our house. Great at all player counts.
NMB9 is an interesting tile placement game where the tiles are shaped like numbers. Deceptively simple but requires some serious thought and planning.
