View from one mountain to another. Dense forest in the foreground. Behind it, the ruins of Drachenfels Castle are enthroned on Drachenfels Drachenfels, which is also densely overgrown with trees. At 321 metres above sea level, the summit is around 270 metres above the Rhine.
A little further down, to the right of Drachenfels, is Drachenburg Castle, built in the historicist neo-Gothic and neo-Renaissance styles. It was built between 1882 and 1884.

View from a mountain. At the top of the picture are branches of trees in spring, the rest of the photo shows the Rhine with many houses and trees on the opposite bank. The view extends to the horizon, although it is slightly hazy.

Once again the ruins of Drachenfels Castle. This time the view falls on it through green foliage.

The names brown thrasher and grey catbird. These are the birds I immediately heard when I arrived here to take a picture.

It’s breezy and cool today. The sky is cloudy, we are expecting rain. The sun is just up shining the sky yellow near the horizon. There’s a brown plowed and seeded field in front of my spot at the Outlook. Further off the pastures and hills are green.

Im Zentrum des Bildes steht ein hoher, eindrucksvoll gewachsener Baum, vermutlich eine Gemeine Esche. Der Baum ist außergewöhnlich geformt: Sein mächtiger Stamm ist in dunkles, dichtes Efeu gehüllt, das sich spiralförmig nach oben windet wie ein grünes Kleid. Aus dem Efeumantel ragen weit ausladende, schräg stehende Äste hervor, die sich zum Teil fast horizontal über die Szene spannen.

Das frische Laub der Esche ist hellgrün, fein gefiedert und wirkt lichtdurchlässig – ein zarter Kontrast zum dunklen Efeu. Die Baumkrone ist locker verzweigt, fast wolkenartig. Umgeben ist der Baum von weiteren, ebenfalls belaubten Bäumen, darunter blühende Kastanien mit rosafarbenen Blütenkerzen links und rechts am Bildrand.

Der Himmel darüber ist teilweise bewölkt, aber Licht fällt freundlich durch die Wolken. Im Vordergrund ist eine gepflasterte Straße mit Fahrradbügeln zu sehen. Am unteren Bildrand steht in türkisfarbener Schrift: „F.loki ~ Enjoy the moment“ – eine Einladung zum bewussten Innehalten.

Die Szenerie strahlt eine märchenhafte, beinahe verwunschene Atmosphäre aus – der Baum wirkt lebendig, als könnte er sich jeden Moment in Bewegung setzen.

Looking upwards, you can see many layers of different shaped leaves from numerous woodland trees. Bright sunshine passes through, creating a dappled effect, and the structure of the closest bunch of is clearly visible.

Le soleil s'infiltre,
le pin l'accueille sans bruit.
On pourrait y dormir
comme un vieux hobbit repu
dans l’ombre des brindilles

Vue en contre-plongée d’un grand pin aux longues branches ombragées. Le soleil filtre à travers les aiguilles vert tendre, projetant des ombres dansantes sur l’herbe jaune et la petite route en contrebas. Ambiance estivale paisible.

The most of the fields in the Netherlands are cultivatated en green and almost without a flower in it. This local patch is still cultivated on the old fasioned way and may not be mowed before the 1st of june. Look at the rich nature, wow.
In photographic way I like the contrast a lot between the dark sky en the colourfull field.
