Enjoying a nice spring day on my bike. South Turner Street would have been a lot more impressive without all the parked cars.

I taught my first #photography workshop / photo walk yesterday and it was so much fun! It was great to work with so many people on making better pictures :) Thanks to the Vancouver Island School of Art for inviting me to do it!

This platter is a more conventional. It's a shallow concave plate. It's 30 cm across. The rim is a bit less than 4 mm thick. It's a piece of salvaged #GarryOak.
The new Wairua Cafe in #northparkvic is open. I can attest that their flat white is perfect. #yyj #victoriabc #cafe
#Throwback to being cast as a high school student for a medical science film from an older PhD student at UVIC, 2 weeks after my 40th birthday in 2015. All the actual minor kids cast as students were bigger than me 
2016. After wrapping the last shoot on Ollie & Emma #TelusOptik #webseries #FilmProduction at the Village Foods grocery store in #Sooke.
Me & the lighting crew were the last ones to clock out. I was always the last crew to leave sets because I was also the locations manager. We goofed around with wigs & accessories props from my costumes tickle trunk. I provided several props for the production filming from my own personal collections.
I was on contract with Less Bland Productions in #VictoriaBC at the time.

Looking for somewhere in #VictoriaBC where I can a bottle of orange blossom water I find the Real Canadian Superstore, which is not quite in Victoria.
It seems they are re-branding, with an interesting red white and blue colour scheme. Seems like an incredible stupid idea.
Also, it's in #Langford and no one wants to go to Langford ... to buy something for $2.60. Gah.
Bike ride time. It's accessible via paths away from the traffic for the most part. Driving there would be really dumb.

Violet-green Swallows can look dark at first, but their true colors come to life when sunlight illuminates their metallic green backs and iridescent purple rumps. They are a common sight in the West in spring and summer, but they vanish to Mexico and Central America for the winter. They can be distinguished from other swallows by the white patches on the sides of their rump and their white cheeks.
