Help please.

We have a $703 tax return bill with the IRS to cover - the IRS is refusing to offer a payment plan.

A parking fine in Philly we tried to pay twice but their system fucked up, now the fine has a penalty added. Unless I can get blood from a stone by successfully arguing with bureaucrats about how unfair that is, I'll be expected to pay $116 to them!

We're once again locked out of my overdraft as it has maxed out, my credit cards are still basically maxed out, & we still have another upcoming payment for car loan ($280) & car insurance ($220).

Unknown cost: fixing up #Vulpibus to stop it losing coolant into either fuel, oil or floorboards of the bus once we figure out which it is.

And of course, food.

DMV: more costs for me to move my license from one state to another, to get the bus title changed to motorhome & reg'd & to update car reg.

Today has been a productive day with the #Vulpibus bed #woodwork. I'm making four triangular brackets with three pieces of pallet wood each, using some basic #joinery techniques to make them stronger without making them too bulky or heavy. The jigsaw was bought from Harbor Freight for a sensible price and I'm using solar power and hand tools.

These brackets will be part of what holds up the bunk bed in the back.

To keep the Vulpibus progressing, your help is very much needed. We're in strong need of engine maintenance, a towing dolly, LiFePO4 bluetooth monitored batteries and some plumbing fittings. I also have debts to cover including the IRS.

I've got a little bit of paid work tomorrow but it's only going to scratch the surface of our needs.

I got one step closer to resolving our DMV issues today. The next steps cost more money though!

We need $60-300 for the immediate DMV matters (I cannot elaborate too much on it here for opsec).

We also need food money and repair money for the car ($20) and the bus's engine (depends).

We need a towing dolly to pull our car around ($400-2000)

Finally, if you know anyone with land we can park on for a while in eastern PA or NJ or NY state, please let us know.

Hey,

Our #Mutualaid needs have grown more pressing since another #lgbtqiaplus person has joined us in the #Vulpibus. We need to get it in shape all the sooner given that and the swift deterioration of the political situation and our safety in this country.

$400 sorts out our next solar battery pack so we can keep cool in the summer.
An additional $500 covers basic engine work we need to do.
$200 is for our food for the week.
$60 goes to our next bureaucracy step with the DMV.
$500 fills in my overdraft again.

There are many more examples I could list, I hope this gives an idea of the price ballparks we are dealing with.

Good news: I got a job! No more mutual aid needed!

Bad news: April Fool. Though I did get offered a job, it's going to be MONTHS before it reaches the point where I am paid and don't need #mutualaid.

Hey @fedihelp and other #mutualaid beans, we (@Kuniti_shino & me) are in need of #fedihelp to cover our bills!

Since we became basically #homeless and living in an unready #skoolie project which is stuck in #DMVhell (anyone who works in the DMV, especially NJ or PA, please be in touch) we've been practically #unemployable on top of already having very eclectic CVs/resumés which algorithms and AIs hate.

We're doing all we can to make #Vulpibus #busconversion more complete for our #basicneeds & for @vulpinelabs for gene editing sys design & helping other #trans, #lgbtq #queer etc folks by sharing resources, providing a mobile rescue/safe space.

We have a small #EV for runabout which we got on finance before we lost jobs & apartment. Now every month we have car loan and insurance to pay. Vulpibus is paid off but its insurance is another matter.

Food & hardware keep putting us in the red.

I hate capitalism

I would have all the supplies i need for a stable living situation if money wasn't in the way

I lack:
Pneumatic springs for the side solar panels on the bus to prop up solar panels while being wind and weather resistant
Magnets for the side solar panels on the bus
Ubolts for bus suspension
More 12v batteries for more stable power at night (need atleast 2 more for now)
Replacement connectors for escooter
Materials to rebuild the bus into a more livable place (replacement of ceiling, materials for lab/office, materials for kitchen and bathroom, Insulation for inside of bus)
Insulation and heat shielding for 100 gal water tank as well as tank heaters for cold months
Tire change for bus as the retreads are prone to coming off at any point tires are replaced
tank has insulation and heat shielding but needs water heating pads

I will need as much as possible as building it out is intense in every way in this realm

#Mutualaid has covered the cost of much needed new tyres for the Vulpibus! Next we need to sort out my overdrafts, which combined are sitting at around $750 below zero (including fees). These are with a US credit union (~$500) and a UK bank debit card (~£190, which is ~$250)
I ran these up trying to keep up with car loan and insurance payments, food, needed tools, & fees.

If I can get them above zero, I can start using these cards again for basics like food and EV charging and #Vulpibus diesel.

Our #roadsafety need for a #tyrechange on the #Vulpibus is getting critical. The #tyres the bus came with are from 2012, worn and developing cracks. They are #inflated to the 115psi they are supposed to have, but a #blowout is becoming a matter of when, not if. Since we would rather not end up stranded in a ditch, this is an ASAP #urgent call out for #mutualaid. It's gonna be about $1200 because at least the front 2 tyres have to be new. The back 4 can be used, though getting new is obviously better.

Today we have side #solar panel 2/10, 16/24 overall, mounted on the #Vulpibus. We also worked out (mentally at least) the design for the bedroom and bathroom wall. We bought some reflective strips for vehicular safety, 2 guage wire connectors, more bolts and screws and more drill and screwdriver bits (they break often when working on thick steel with unknown overlaps behind it) today. To get more done, we need some #fedihelp #mutualaid #funding to cover the cost of hinges, screws and wood, as well as getting much needed tyres fitted and covering numerous bills.

I'm sat in the #Vulpibus boiling the kettle with #solarpower to make #tea to settle my upset stomach. I spent most of today trying to dismantle several #pallets for usable #timber, and finding that a frustrating number of the boards and beams are rotten, split or otherwise not good, and my expectations weren't high to begin with. Ah well, we have plenty of #firewood now! And a few good boards too.

#MUTUALAID We are still at $60 of the $1000 goal for this week, and we really need to meet this goal if we are to break out of the overdraft and #debt cycle! Please #help us cover our basic needs and bureaucracy fees and such while our time is absorbed with the #necessities of setting up our home; we hope that when we are all set up, we can repay the world many times over with what we develop in our #geneediting system!

A campfire made of the most rotten and warped pallet wood, and the wood from the old rotten caravan/mobile home/trailer we are dismantling to salvage materials for the #Vulpibus.

Also, to be clear, the solar panels on the Vulpibus were obtained on Freecycle.org for free. The bus itself was a bargain on Craigslist funded by #mutualaid so we wouldn't end up on the streets.
