ChatGPT is getting into the shopping business.... currently in "pre-launch", shoppers will be shown product recommendations based on what ChatGPT remembers about a user’'s preferences as well as product reviews pulled from across the web.

Shoppers will not be able to check out inside of ChatGPT, rather they will be redirected to the merchant’s website to finish the transaction.

The results presented in ChatGPT searches are not paid placements, but organic results, and yes OpenAI is exploring affiliate revenue models. Ka-ching! wired.com/story/openai-adds-sh #onlineshopping #AI #chatGPT #google #websearch #shopping
