BOOYAH! Got an efficient approach to blocking large sets of ranges of IPs 
1) Use Python with the `ipaddress` module to build a list of IPs masked as 8/16/24/32 subnets (as appropriate) from a list of CIDR addresses
2) Put them in a Berkley DB file for RewriteMap to use
3) Use four RewriteConds to pull one, two, three or all four octets from the remote IP
4) Use a fifth RewriteCond with nested lookups (each default value is a new lookup on a different set of octets, with 0s filled in) to see if it's in the prohibited list
5) If it's a blocked IP, rewrite the URL to redirect to the tar pit URL

about me: i'm a... FTM guy i guess. living in the netherlands but don't come from here. for years have been holding on to a simple binary expression due to dysphoria and societal pressures. lately have done musing on things and decided my gender needs a DLC, and that i've been repressing the aspect of my life where i wanted to be an "effeminate man", or other words that are pretty much slurs that i don't want to and won't quote here. sounds harsh but little me didn't know better due to the environment i was raised in.
thus i stopped at the words bigender and androgyne. and at some point, when my body allows me to, i want to crossdress amplifying both my masculine traits and a feminine frame.
for now, that part of me remains solely online, hence also the feminine name and typically masculine pronouns and terms used.
i also do want to set an example that crossdressing is not just a fetish, it shouldn't be seen as only that and that it can be a part of someone's gender identity
outside of the musing, i sometimes draw or play on my 3DS or steam deck, although most of the time i lack the right energy to do so due to being in recovery. feel free to ask me for my pretendo friendcode! maybe we can play smash bros or mario kart.
i'm autistic, and got C-PTSD and probably some PTSD going on. that might explain some of my behaviors.
one day i should get back to making websites. i used to be somewhat active in indie web circles, but withdrew over time for mostly personal reasons.
