Quite the rare item on eBay right now: an early Amiga 2000 dealer demo unit (unserialed, apparently only 200 of these were made) featuring the fabled Amiga keyboard with Cherry MX keyswitches and red 'A'miga keys.

I first heard about these many years ago, but have never seen one pass through.

eBayRARE Mint Condition Amiga 2000 Dealer Demo (One of 200 Made, Unserialized) | eBayCommodore produced an initial run of 200 NTSC Amiga 2000s for dealers as demo units and were not supposed to be sold. The motherboard is revision 3.9 of the Haynie/Fisher design with Buster tower for the Zorro II slots.

All of a sudden I am looking for a 68030 accelerator for the Amiga 2000. There are a few modern ones in different states of readiness, it seems.

Can anyone point me to something solid? (Older would be fine - but I see none on offer in the regular places.)

Update: Has anyone tried the new Dicke Olga board? It has a disable switch which I require.

Have you heard of the #SMD2000 "Bushfire"?

That's an exciting new hardware project from Down Under: #Brisbane. "New" is relative, this project began a year ago, in July 2023.

It's a mini-DTX sized, very modular edition of the #Amiga 2000, designed to fit into a Silverstone ML09 case. It consists of a small sized mainboard and needs to be extended with various extension cards with its necessary components like a CPU card, the Agnus card, etc. The system is already able tool boot.

You can get many informations about the whole project from the official #AmigaRetroBrisbane website: amigaretro.com/projects/introd

And there is also a GitHub repository with further files and informations which links to some "sub repos" containing the module cards: github.com/gazzmaniac/SMD2000
