Two photos from today's walk, and one from our budding #cherry tree. Good night, fine humans.
It's a wonderful season, enjoy it.

More progress on that #canoe I posted about a while back!

It's neat to see it slowly taking shape; I have no idea when (or if) the folks carving it will ever finish it, but it's cool in either case.
Bonus #moss picture from the same walk. Take care of yourselves, humans. Touch dirt, love something, and stay yourselves.
Noticed a couple #ants today on my walk that seemed to be... fighting was my first thought, but is almost certainly wrong. Communicating, I would guess, though it looks to me like one of those slap-fights in cartoons.
@futurebird probably knows what they're up to.
A few photos from today's walk at #DashPoint.
A walk through the woods, followed by a bunch of gardening work, has laid me low. 7 miles today according to my Fitbit. Am tired.
(2/3) Some more photos from the same trip. Love it when they've got water droplets on them, feels like a treat.
(1/3) My wife and I went to visit the #RhododendronSpeciesBotanicalGarden in #FederalWay again today, and MOAR things are blooming now than a few weeks ago. Spring is upon us, and my sense of impending doom greatly enjoyed the escapism it had to offer.
Of course, now she wants a couple-couple-couple-couple-couple #camelias. I'm not sorry.

A few photos from today's walk! The Wayerhauser building was looking especially pretty today.
#Fasting today, which always makes my walks feel distinctly *different.* Part of that is mild hunger, weakness that's more psychosomatic than actually real. Part is a perceived lightness, as though I could run faster and jump higher. I find myself taking slower steps in contrast to that feeling, deeper breaths.
(1/2) Timing was perfect today to avoid getting rained on; all the #mosses were wet and happy.
Part 2 is a quick video of a slug munchin' on a bit of leaf, by the by.
A few photos from today's visit to #DashPointWA in #FederalWay. My wife and I caught an unexpected low tide during our visit and mostly just walked on the beach.
I've never seen this many #SandDollars in Washington before, there were thousands of them! Only seen that before in Oregon. Had to be careful where we stepped at some points. Two pictures here to demonstrate it, since the zoomed-out one doesn't really do it justice. Each of those dark lines is a sand dollar.
A fungal fence post for the #lichensubscribe crowd, captured during today's walk. Also featured, a plum tree blossom from my yard this morning.
Overall, a fine day for small things.
Spotted a blooming willow tree (I think) during my walk today. Enjoyed the shaggy look of it.
A log full of shelf #fungi to brighten your day.
Take care of yourselves, humans. These are dark times, but even in darkness it's possible to find strength.
Out on my walk today I realized I could hear #frogs over the audiobook playing in my ears. Took a short detour from the trail to the sound's source, though I didn't manage to actually spot the vocalists.
I find it remarkable sometimes that creatures so loud - typically frogs, birds, and grasshoppers - can still remain practically invisible.
Maybe you can spot one in this video (I can't) but regardless, I invite you to enjoy their song.
This was the most charming tuft of #moss that I met on my walk today.
No, I'm not just focusing on small things to distract myself from the travesty that is my government. Alright, that's exactly what I'm doing. Fine.
You can't stop me.
A few photos from today's walk.
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to spot a group of native #carvers at work on a large log, presumably passing on their knowledge to a younger generation. I didn't take any photos, as it isn't really my place to interrupt such things. Their work on this #canoe is incomplete to date, but the raw shaped wood has a certain beauty nonetheless.
Visited #SaltwaterStatePark for a short walk with my wife today.
Things are starting to bloom, but aren't quite there yet. I'll try to get out that way in the next week or two, when I expect a lot more flowers and such will be doing their thing.
Still, some great #nature to soak up.
