We are proud to share that a research team led by @EPFL professor Li Tang, head of the Lab of #Biomaterials for #Immunoengineering, has received the prestigious Fondation Leenaards prize 2025!

The goal of team's work is to increase the stiffness of #cancer-cell membranes, making it easier for patients’ T-cells to attack and destroy tumors. Their approach could lead to more effective treatments for patients who are resistant to existing #immunotherapy.

This is a scanning electron microscopy image of the cranial sutures in the rat skull. These are fibrous joints where the bones of the skull interdigitate, allowing for flexibility and growth during infancy and early childhood before fusing in adulthood.
