Got back from my dad's place. He gave me that Walkman and I was able to replace the belt inside easily. It was just opening the case that wasn't intuitive so I had to look up a video and it wasn't too bad lol

But it works now! It plays tapes and it sounds fine. The Walkman uses 2 AA batteries and has AM/FM support too. Not too fancy but it's a decent model. Glad to finally have something that can play cassettes :blobfoxhappy:

The Sony Walkman WM-FX455 opened up with the circuit board removed but still attached with one wire. With it out of the way, the gears and flywheels of the player are visible and the original band is still installed. I removed the belt and replaced it for the repair.

Aprovecho para compartir tres más con estilos completamente diferentes pero que también me gustan:

"El último de la fila - Astronomía razonable" (1993). Hay bandas que aprecias más cuando vives fuera de tu país.

"The sisters of mercy - Some girls wander by mistake" (1992). Me pedían 30€ por la original pero no sabían que tengo un deck que graba mejor que las originales (esta cinta tiene mucha historia).

"The verve - Human hymns" (1997). Otro clásico intemporal :)

Foto de 3 cassettes: El último de la fila, Sisters of mercy y The verve. Con sus portadas cuidadosamente copiadas e impresas del original. Todas las cintas son normales de tipo I y se escuchan muuuy bien.

Bueno pues aquí está mi recopilación de Tensö. Banda punk actual cañera y to guapa 😎 Para ir descubriendo las bandas de hoy que estoy bastante desactualizado. Gracias a Aliēna (@yoquese) por sus buenos consejos 😉

You know that feeling, that you still need to fix something feeling on whatever it is you've worked on. Yeah I had that with the NFC project. I was unhappy with the door and the tape didn't always play because of the placement of the NFC. So yeah I fixed that, then reprinted everything. Here is the Cassette NFC project in 3 forms. The NFC works every time now and the door is sliding instead of lifting up. I think in the end this is just a proof of concept more then a practical way of listening to music albeit somewhat unique if not fully original on my part. #plasticity #coffee #nfc #cassette
